To celebrate that Helsinki has been chosen the World?s Capital of Design 2012, the Finnish Embassy, the Ibero-American Institute of Finland and Centro Centro, have organized the exhibition Encuentros // Kohtaamisia, centred on the relevant role played by design in the development of public environments and services for citizens.

 

The show Encuentros // Kohtaamisia presents innovative projects in different areas: culture, education, mobility, well-being and communication carried out in Helsinki. It also shows a selection of photographs of the Finnish capital taken by Finnish artist Jussi Tiainen and by the Spaniard Asís G. Ayerbe, who reflect on the city?s changing environment.

 

The exhibition inaugurates the space Observatorio Ciudad 21 devoted to the International Program of Good Urban Practices to promote the dialogue and the exchange of experiences with big national and international metropolis.
